Commuters were delighted when First Great Western issued a leaflet advertising a new service linking two towns in Cornwall (link below.)
http://www.rmtbristol.org.uk/2007/06/whoops_where_did_that_railway.html#more

First Great Western sent out the map showing a direct line between Falmouth and Redruth - a development that would help to ease travel problems in Cornwall.

There was only one problem - the line does not exist.

Bosses noticed the mistake only after customers began enquiring when the new service would start.

Some heads at FGW (First Great Western) really do need a good bashing especially in their publicity department who no longer publish the very useful weekend timetable alteration booklets anymore and just have a endless useless list of engineering works listed on the website with no details of amended services, whats the point?
