Work Proceeds ... on bringing the Coffee Shop more mobile / phone friendly - experimenting on https://www.firstgreatwestern.info/recent.html which allows our receptionist to give a useful status chack and will allow [him/her/it] to register likes without having to go into posting mode.  I will also be allowing our receptionist to display none-public posts such as frequent poster ones if [she/he/it] can identify the person looking as qualified to see them.

Also aware (but it needs to be done from both ends) that some members are still not trusting our emails, that likes result in a new screen, and some other issues.

Melksham Town Council was supposed to be a full council meeting every month but it was decided that was "too much" so it was cut to once every 2 months.  Yeah, right  Cheesy - we had three full council meetings last month and we have another tonight, with another confidential session - public agenda says it will cover "any staffing matters".  I loose count, but I think we had 3 in December - two of which were "informal to discuss budget" and so you would not know.  I do look forward to finishing my term and getting back on the rails!  Just for tonight, it falls to me in the public section to address 25 inputs some as long as 39 pages to the Neighbourhood Plan and get approval for the council comments suggested to be made to the inspector.

Talking about "on the rails", January was quieter on the Coffee Shop in term of numbers of posts. I am asking myself whether this was a sesonality, the effect of the big changes made, or becsuse the service we grump about has been rather less prone to short notice change.

Wish this display looked a clear of red (cancelled throughout)  and grey (part route only)  and blue (delayed) lines every day!

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. Views expressed in posts are not necessarily the views of the operators of the forum.

As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
