As FGW▸ use 142s joined up. Do they ever use these with one conductor? If so how well do they work like that? The reason I'm asking is when Northern run them in multiple they either use two conductors or have problems with doors not opening when they should. Usually 150+142 combinations work better with one conductor though.
the exmouth line has alot of 142 or 143 doubles i have seen two guards on in the past but never seen one in each unit and to be honest when the trains full i have never seen them try to check tickets the closest attempt i saw was asking if anyone needed to buy a ticket, i dodnt know what would happen if there was an incedent to the unit with no guard
