Last Thursday, we celebrated 160 years of the Exeter - Crediton railway and ten years of the Friends of Crediton Station.

The Friends organised the celebrations, which included music from Calstock Rubber Band and the unveiling of a plaque commemmorating the great engineer Joseph Locke.  The Friends' Co-ordinator, David Gosling, has written a pamphlet about Joseph Locke which is currently on sale at the Station Tea Rooms (^2.50)

Also there were Peter Townsend of Silver Link Publishing together with author Terry Gough launching a brand new "Then & Now" book about the Tarka (Branch line from Barnstaple to Exeter) Line.
