In the course of my work with the Severnside Community Rail Partnership, I've spent a fair bit of time at Weston Milton Station recently.

We have worked with students at Worle Community School to plant new bushes, shrubs and herbs, and produce and display some new artwork in the poster cases, to improve the appearance of the station.

While I appreciate that it's not exactly a tourist attraction in its own right, I'd just like to record here that Weston Milton is actually a very welcoming station, for those who do use it.

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

I totally agree with Chris. Weston Milton is one of my personal favourites, and I always try to make sure I stop off there when my travels bring me down that way.

When you consider how relatively small the overall station site is, it is genuinely excellent how well the space has been utilised with the efforts that Chris mentions.
