Another rather garbled story, with a random station picture to illustrate it, from the Western Gazette:

Yeovil Pen Mill

A person has been hit by a train on the Heart of Wessex line this afternoon.

The incident occurred between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa stations.

Rail operator First Great Western has tweeted that all lines between the stations are blocked as a result.

Network Rail has reported that its representatives are on site in Keynsham with the British Transport Police and emergency services.

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Apparently it's appropriate to advertise a consultation for a potential new railway link with a grainy image of a man 'planking' on a railway line:

But that's a very weird map, with the Chiltern main line running due north-south, and Bedford off to the north-east of London (plus several other oddities).

I think that Harry Beck would want to have his say about it.

Could be anywhere in the old Thames Trains area. I'm probably wrong, but the track in between the two trains make me think Reading.
