I had no idea that Dtrain had been upgraded so massively.  Could Vivarail have a future in upgrading Vauxhall Astras for F1 teams?

Currently working on the Leyland Brexit GTf, I believe.

From the County Times

Quote

ESSENTIAL works to the level crossing in Llandrindod Wells will take place from 7am on Saturday, October 17, to 8pm on Sunday, October 18.

As part of Network Rail?s plans to maintain a safe and reliable railway, the works will result in the level crossing on the junction of the A4081 and the A483 being closed to vehicles for the duration they are on site. A diversion route will be fully signposted throughout the road closure.

To be fair ... the picture is labelled "Engineers undertake work to the track at Colchester. Picture: Network Rail" but one has to wonder if they could have found something closer to the story?

From Yahoo!News

So - which is the station who's name should be changed?  Are there others that should be changed in our area?

While they are at it Exeter St Davids should be renamed because that is obviously going to offend those not from the Principality. Indeed my home city might even be guilty of cultural appropriation!?  Grin

We could but that is June and we already have two at Easter and two in May.   Over the years there has been a suggestion of one in October for Trafalgar Day.

Mind you tomorrow (30th November) it is a bank holiday in Scotland for St Andrews Day.

That has spawned a magnificent new subject that has been spun off onto its own thread at http://www.passenger.chat/24299 .

Lazy journalism? I would bet at least half-a-crate-of-ale that the 'stock' image is Exmouth Junction. Has Covid-19 resulted in the prohibition of photography in West Cornwall?  Smiley

A degree of sympathy from me for Network Rail here ... they're looking to tell us about something that has not yet happened, and until time travel is invented there are no pictures available yet of the work they're telling us about. Hobson's choice between an picture of the right place in the wrong condition, and the wrong place in the right condition.
