Known locally as "Squirrel Junction", not in FGW (First Great Western) land but not a million miles away from some of its south-eastern extremities...

Edited to add: no cheating if you already know the answer via Facebook!!

Having seen the correct answer already, I'll go with Tufty Junction.

You'll need to be above a certain age for that reference.  Wink

I thought Tufty was more into crossings than junctions!  Yes, I'm old enough to remember.

In todays PC, cost cutting  and speed driven society, Minnie Mole  and Willy Weasel wouldn't stand a chance as PC Badger would be culled at the first opportunity...

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

I can't remember the junction name Sad

But would I be right in saying it's the "London" end of Woking in SWT (South West Trains) land? ;-)

You're in the right ball park with Woking and SWT (South West Trains) land, but it's the country side of Woking...

Well that puts it between Basingstoke and Woking!

If it's Basingstoke London Side and the Reading / London Split part (you'd be stood next to the Down from Reading) that's cheating as FGW (First Great Western) stop there! But it looks nothing like that junction sooooo... Wink

Well done, you are absolutely right with Ash Vale Junction, but I didn't know the box was supposed to be haunted Shocked

Ash Vale Junction is where the line from Ascot to Aldershot via Camberley and Frimley joins the Alton branch line, a little way south of Woking. The Alton branch leaves the Bournemouth main line at Pirbright Junction, whilst the Frimley line dives under the main line between Woking and Farnborough. FGW (First Great Western) services certainly get quite close to Ash Vale Junc, but they don't actually use it: they duck under the Alton branch just before Ash Vale Junc and join the line to Guildford at Aldershot South Junc, just over half a mile away from Ash Vale.
