Just been reading about the animator Bob Godfrey who has died - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21552718

I knew his work on Roobarb and Custard but I didn't know there was a cartoon of Isambard Kingdom Brunel which he produced called "Great".  I am a great fan of IKB (Isambard Kingdom Brunel) but didn't know it existed.  I have had a look on the net but not managed to find a download of it.  Anyone know anything about it?  I have discovered Richard Briers, who of course also died this week, was the voice of Brunel on the film.

I doubt it will add much to my knowledge of the engineer - but it would be good to see the film which won Godfrey an Oscar.

Here you go Bob:

I too went looking for this film earlier this evening after reading about the passing of Bob Godfrey.

My searching also led me to another documentary on IKB (Isambard Kingdom Brunel). This time a BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) programme called 'Breakthrough' presented by John Craven. Some great footage of the Western Region and HSTs (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)).

I think you'll appreciate the footage from Swindon Works on that second youtube link.  Wink
