William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

Ok, just to finish it off I'll "guess" at the missing two........

7. Could may be possibly be Lansdown Road taken from the level crossing as it passes the Aviva Stadium

11. Is Helmsdale

i'm surprised no one got (7) however if anyone would have gotten 11 I'd have knitted a hat just to eat it.

Thanks guys.

I'm sure we'll post another before very long.

Excellent quiz and test / fun - Thank You Mookimoo and FlyingScotsman.  ... I was looking from Bathgate to Drumgelloch for number 7 ... and couldn't find any pictures that matched.  11 had to be Highland Railway and probably far North, but could have been a few others as I think that was a standard type of building?    Ah well - as quizzed should be, some obvious and some tricky!
