Presumably you don't want me to tell you that you could also catch the 12:25 to Waterloo (15:49), save yourself the walk across town, and come back on the 17:20 getting you into Exeter at 20:44. Much newer train too  Grin

Having lived in Pinhoe for the best part of sixty years, I've experienced the 'normal' LSWR▸ (London South Western Railway) route behind WC▸ (Wiltshire Council (Unitary Authority), was Wiltshire County Council until March 2009)/BB, MN, Warships, Class 33s, Class 50s, 159s and other types and under 'normal operating conditions' would probably choose this over the GWR▸ (Great Western Railway) route, despite it being slower - but this isn't 'normal operating conditions'
