Shortage of train crews on Great Western Railway - ongoing discussion

Has anyone got a list of the 2% of services cancelled, or could this figure largely be down to natural fluctuation for things like engineering works (which can decrease, and in some cases increase, the daily service plan)?  For example, that can be the only thing that led to Caledonian Sleeper's 0.3% increase surely?

I ask, because the next figure in the stats John D linked to, covers the whole year (April 2025 to March 2026), and shows a very marginal increase for GWR^▸ (Great Western Railway) of 0.2% over April 2024 to March 2025?

Another day of shortage of train crew (so services cancelled) for some of our local services.
In addition to which. did I spot five short formed express services with only 5 cars to/from London.

I would like to think things will slowly improve as new crews are qualified and trains resume full length soon.

As ever I think there are some other shortforms not mentioned on Journeycheck.

The 08:48 London Paddington to Pembroke Dock should be 10 as far as Swansea before the rear five continues to West Wales.

Today it is five all the way but at least, unlike last week, it is getting past Swansea.

hah! If we win this evening, the next one is 0100 on Monday morning July 6th.....so a 3am earliest finish, more likely 4am after extra time & penalties against Mexico in Mexico City.

True, but given the current and ongoing issues caused by "severe" weather, signal failures,"more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time" aka too hot to be driven, falling trees etc etc we should probably be grateful for every small mercy!

Didn’t look too bad at all today. 

Sunday might be worse as although we got knocked out the HSS^▸ (High Speed Services) drivers that can make themselves not available would have needed to do so before last nights result was known, as they need to give 5 days notice.
