1A72 05:53 Plymouth to London Paddington cancelled between Plymouth and Exeter due to a train fault. The IET▸ (Intercity Express Train - replacement for HSTs (manufactured by Hitachi in Kobe, Japan)) currently being used for crew training was pressed into service apparently.

Being said elsewhere that 0553 cancelled so that said HST▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) could be used to "rescue sleeper passengers" and the IET▸ (Intercity Express Train - replacement for HSTs (manufactured by Hitachi in Kobe, Japan)) has run empty to Taunton due to unavailablity of crew.
