Causing local media breakdown this afternoon. The critter is on the Cornwall side of the main structure around 100 metres from Saltash Station.

I trust the effect on train services into and out of Cornwall wasn't to cat-astrophic today.

Here's hoping for a purrfect outcome tomorrow, with as brief a paws in the train service as necessary.

Reported on Plymouth Live that the cat got itself off the bridge at 23.00 and went home. Hopefully the owner notified everyone, so the planned overnight line closure for a rescue attempt could be cancelled.

A proper intercity train has a minimum of 8 coaches, gangwayed throughout, with first at one end, and a full sized buffet car between first and standard.
It has space for cycles, surfboards,luggage etc.
A 5 car DMU▸ (Diesel Multiple Unit) is not a proper inter-city train. The 5+5 and 9 car DMUs are almost as bad.
