13:18 Hereford to London Paddington due 16:25 will no longer call at Worcestershire Parkway Hl, Pershore, Evesham, Honeybourne, Moreton-In-Marsh, Kingham, Charlbury and Hanborough.
It has been delayed between Malvern Link and Worcester Foregate Street and is now 47 minutes late.

I notice that the 05:11 Worcester Shrub Hill to Paddington Service was delayed by 16 minutes at Oxford yesterday. Was that due to coupling issues again?

Yes, though I think it was a procedural error rather than a fault with the sets.

Nothing on JourneyCheck (as I've mentioned elsewhere) but assuming http://iris2.rail.co.uk/tiger/ to be correct, the 17:34 Paddington to Hereford, 17:58 Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street and 18:58 Paddington to Hereford services are all five car short-formations this evening.

There were further short-formations earlier today including a very cosy 06:43 Worcester Shrub Hill to Paddington train.

Yes, all three were formed of 5-car units tonight.  The middle one of those three is probably better as a 5-car to be honest, but the first one especially really needs to be a 9-car.  The planned set for the 18:58 Hereford was used instead for the 19:04 Penzance for some reason.

17:58 is showing on JourneyCheck as shortformed tonight, but it isn’t.  Hopeless!

The other two are also 9-cars!

The 18.58 is five-car. I’m on it. It’s pretty cosy.

And when you really do need a short-train:

Quote
6:53 Worcester Foregate Street to Didcot Parkway due 08:41 will no longer call at Shipton, Finstock and Combe.
This is due to a fault on this train.
Will be formed of 3 coaches instead of 2.

Is it only when they move "west" that 165/166s have selective door opening fitted?

Yes, or at least that’s the only time it’s used.  The LTV (London [and] Thames Valley) route drivers and guards haven’t been trained on using it as it would only be needed once in a blue moon - this morning being that ‘once’.  Bit silly mind you!
