It would appear that the Class 68 is the latest vehicle to suffer from cracks.....

There shouldn't be - the box these brackets attach is for ETS (Electric Train Supply): electric supply to the train for heating. Chiltern's need this as they haul passenger coaches. Those in goods use only don't, and I think don't even have he box (or brackets) fitted. Nuclear fuel is in any case able to make its own arrangements for heating.

Not that any of that would deter anyone feeling the need for a howl.
