Reading as I do here the tribulations of catering on the move, I'm sharing today some pictures close to my heart (i.e. my stomach) of the limited and paunch-inducing fare offered by P&O Cruises.

When looking at this, you do need to bare in mind that this boat ship is somewhat longer than even the longest express train running in the UK (United Kingdom) - I make it just under 14 IET (Intercity Express Train - replacement for HSTs (manufactured by Hitachi in Kobe, Japan)) carriages long - so they have somewhat more preparation and serving space.  Wouldn't fit the Great British Railways loading gauge either.

Two pictured are from the waited tables (restaurant car equivalent) and the rest from the buffet (buffet car equivalent).  Bar staff wander around taking orders and delivering drinks which is the nearest you'll get to a catering trolley.

That looks like either blood or ketchup on the yellow tray, but I hope it is neither of those!

Coulis?   I'm not the best expert at food - or, rather, I am more skilled at eating it than designing or presenting it.

What was that side with the steak?

You're obviously not Trypophobic.

Oh and the other side looks like a grilled baby Armadillo!

Top left - french fries
Bottom left - grilled/roasted garlic
Top right - slice of lettuce with mayo and some red sprinkled bits
Bottom right - tomato and mushroom
