Sounds like a problem only for first-world metronistas, tbh.  I've visited Battersea Power Station Station, and the walk to Battersea Power Station is not a long one.  Could be better signposted through the little park area, though.  The Power Station looms whenever you look in it's direction, but how to get there can be a navigation puzzle
