Happened to pop over to DIG at around 1300 yesterday, to collect some pre-booked tickets, and noticed that the station PIS (Passenger Information System) was still showing 2F10 (0929 DIG>EXM) as 'Delayed' but the 'real time' service was running OK. A perusal of RTT» (Real Time Trains - website) today showed that a points failure had caused a number of trains between EXD (Exeter St Davids station ) & EXM to be cancelled in the period 0830-1030.

Was it really not possible for somebody to reset the display screen manually?

10:25 Okehampton to Exeter Central due 11:08

10:25 Okehampton to Exeter Central due 11:08 will be started from Exeter St Davids.
It will no longer call at Okehampton, Crediton and Newton St Cyres.
This is due to congestion.

Not cancelled then - "updated"  Grin

Have to say The Devon Metro is operating this week with optimum services by using six 3 car turbos, two 4 car 150s  two 2 car 150s and two 3 car 158s to cover the twelve diagrams. Long may it last.

On the downside the 150s,  of which five are being used in  Cornwall (I include Gunnislake), are being used on the mainline as the solitary 175 hasn't been used in passenger service this week.
175001 (refurbished) and 175007 (un-refurbished) have been the only trains out of eight at Laira that have been used in passenger service.

175001 is out today 1340 Plymouth - Penzance and back.

Is it because the IETs (Intercity Express Train - replacement for HSTs (manufactured by Hitachi in Kobe, Japan)) and Voyager cannot stop in Dawlish for one minute?
Paignton-Exmouth has six turbos and one 2 car 150 maintaining the service.
I remember the 143s ploughing through even though one did lose a side window to a wave.
