I know we're very GWR▸ (Great Western Railway) centric when it comes to comments and criticism, but I'm surprised the Chiltern disruption since yesterday hasn't prompted a thread.

A landslip between Haddenham & Bicester means only one line open to traffic until midday next Monday at the earliest.  There is bi-directional signalling fitted but it's a l-o-n-g section so only one train can pass through it every 15 minutes.

Only one train per hour is operating between Birmingham<>Marylebone, with the Oxford<>Marylebone services are only running to Bicester Village, and other stoppers cancelled.

In addition a signalling fault this afternoon between Gerrards Cross and West Ruislip has made matter substantially worse with some very heavy delays and cancellations.  Advice is not to travel and disruption expected until 21:00.

There are now some more services operating just to stations south of the landslip, Marylebone to/from High Wycombe and all stops to/from West Ruislip.

Well there were. Chiltern now saying DO NOT TRAVEL

Revised timetable operates again tomorrow with a DO NOT TRAVEL for Sunday 14th and Monday 15th whilst the line is completely closed for repairs:

Chiltern Railways is advising customers not to travel on its services on Sunday 14 and Monday 15 January.

Due to this significant disruption, Chiltern is asking customers to not to travel on these days and seek alternative methods of transport.

So only closed between HDM & BCS/BIT, rather than the whole line.
