Annual conference .... this year (2024) Warsaw, next year (2025) in Swindon

EPF is excited to announce its 22nd annual conference, taking place on 13 and 14 June 2025 at the Steam Museum in Swindon, UK^▸ (United Kingdom).

This year’s conference will spotlight best practices and insights across four key topics:

* Back to state-operated public transport? – from deregulation to regulation, lessons from the British experience;
* Ticketing and information – seamless travel: regional, cross-border, and beyond;
* Women in transport – highlighting gender perspectives and advancements in the sector;
* Focus on the passenger – examining the priorities of the new EU^» (European Union - about) Commission’s work programme.

Expect a dynamic mix of presentations, working sessions and panel discussions, where you will not only gain fresh insights but also have the chance to share your own perspectives and expertise.

Items 1 and 3 on that agenda are particularly topical for us, within the admin / moderator team on this Coffee Shop forum.

All four topics are very, well, topical: I look forward to seeing more about that conference.

I have been asked to bump this topic with a view to encouraging more to sign up by the end of this week. I am in Rouen today so peculiarly approporiat and will be signing up from here. There IS a fee involved - in this case I will be happy to pay where I am normally exceptionally limited in paying for public transport events / conferences.

What a fantastically useful and thought provoking conference!  It has helped set me up for a long time to come ... more to tell in coming posts perhaps, and certainly to trickle out over time as it helps me tune my thoughts and see the bigger picture.
