First thought; will this be more stuff the less able bump into, trip over or can't get the wheelchair round. Before we get to double buggies. Second thought; should it be mandatory to ban on pavement parking before any of this is implemented?

At least DfT^» (Department for Transport - about) have noticed the one big problem The availability of parking adjacent to the applicant’s property. For example, my street only has parking one side. Can see

The installation of a cross-pavement solution does not give the resident ownership or priority to the parking space outside their home, and this should be made clear to the resident.

There are a few electric shock risks that have to be considered between the car being charged and earthed street furniture (street lamps etc).  BS7671 (The IET^▸ (Intercity Express Train - replacement for HSTs (manufactured by Hitachi in Kobe, Japan)) Wiring Regs) has a whole chapter dedicated to EV charging points, the IET wiring committee have raised concerns regarding the electric shock risk.  Insurance companies have concerns regarding a trip hazard with were the liability rests and the have the same concerns as the IET.

I am sure a solution will be found to the above and any other problems raised
