I know, but I'm not saying yet - other than to record here that neither of them are Melksham or Taunton.

My sister lives in France.

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

One of the city's tram lines is international - runs into Germany.  And beware the hotel with the wheelchair accessible room .... which has steps you can't avoid to get into reception in the first place.

Correct. Anybody familiar with this location will notice that what was a twin-track passing loop is currently reduced to a single line. Looking north, as in the photo, the right-hand platform is being rebuilt and is out of use. To provide sufficient space for the often large numbers of pax▸ (passengers) using the station - Varenna is a very popular rail<>ferry interchange - the left-hand track has been (I assume temporarily) boarded over.
