I scrolled down to look wondering if that was a serious suggestion until I saw what picture that was!

I assume 5 is the closed St Lawrence Station on the Isle of Wight (as that's the name on the station sign!).

No, it's not on the Isle of Wight ... there are / were at least one other "St Lawrence"

3: Melrose station on the Borders Railway between closure and lifting in the early 1970s and the building of the current bypass in 1987.

1. Chirk chipboard factory, or if it's not there then somewhere in Scotland at the other end of the route, where the timber is loaded. Date - I guess 1975 judging by the man's clothing and hairstyle.

I've seen picture 9 before. I guess there are only so many old photos of Melksham available.

Ha - I was going to post that Google Lens was a good way to identify the locations in these photos (after they'd all been identified). But in fact Lens first told me (confidently) it was Alveston, then Google AI told me it was Bilston Central To be fair, I didn't recognise it either, despite having passed through it this morning - it's definitely changed A slightly larger version of that photo appears here http://www.savethetrain.org.uk/oldpics2.html which might have been where you saw it.

6. Denton station, near Manchester.
It hasn't changed much, over the years, but I'm struggling with a possible date for a black and white photo of it.
A wild guess, therefore: 1970?
