Despite 2E77 0510 Oxford to Worcester Shrub Hill running okay this morning, arriving at it's destination just a few minutes late, the Up Parly, did not run as the return working

According to RTT» (Real Time Trains - website) 2E80 0700 from Worcester Shrub Hill was cancelled, because of "a problem with the train".  The unit returned to Oxford empty cars, where it picked up the rest of the working as the 0827 to Didcot

Maybe the guard went sick? DOO (Driver-Only Operation (that is, trains which operate without carrying a guard)) from Oxford - Didcot

RTT» (Real Time Trains - website) reporting that 1P16 0818 Worcester Shrub Hill to Paddington left Honeybourne just a minute late, but was 29 minutes late by the time it got to Moreton in Marsh

Same time of day as 1W13 0652 Paddington to Great Malvern was in the area.  This left Moreton in Marsh at 0825, just a few minutes down, but didn't get to Honeybourne until 0951, 78 minutes late, and dropped another five minutes before getting to Evesham

GWR (Great Western Railway) JourneyCheck reports "animals on the railway", as the reason for the 0956 Great Malvern to Paddington (the return working of 1W13) starting from Worcester Shrub Hill

The first off-peak up service of the day - the 08:18 Worcester Shrub Hill to London Paddington - has been short-formed a few times over the last few weeks. Today JourneyCheck is reporting:

Quote
Facilities on the 08:18 Worcester Shrub Hill to London Paddington due 10:26.
Will be formed of 5 coaches instead of 9. Service full and standing from Oxford. First class is declassified. There are no reservations on this service.

Earlier the busy 06:43 Worcester Shrub Hill to London Paddington train was another short-form. The 11:52 Paddington to Hereford service and return run are also planned to be short-forms, as is the 18:57 Paddington to Great Malvern train.

The 14:53 Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street and the return run can be added to the list of today's short-forms.

And another (not mentioned on JourneyCheck) - the 19:53 Paddington to Hereford service is only five cars which will mean another short-form in tomorrow's peak.

And yet another (again not on JourneyCheck) - the 21:53 Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill service & another hit on tomorrow's morning peak.

22:51 London Paddington to Worcestershire Parkway Hl due 01:06 will be terminated at Oxford.
It will no longer call at Hanborough, Charlbury, Kingham, Moreton-In-Marsh, Honeybourne, Evesham, Pershore and Worcestershire Parkway Hl.
This is due to a shortage of train crew.

The 1152 London Paddington to Hereford was terminated at Hayes & Harlington due to a problem with the brakes (MN). Subsequently:

Quote
15:18 Hereford to London Paddington due 18:29 will be cancelled.
This is due to a fault on this train.

17:05 Didcot Parkway to Evesham due 18:24 will be cancelled.
This is due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time.

18:51 Evesham to Oxford due 19:50 will be cancelled.
