Hi {First name},

We’re delighted to announce that entries for the 2026 National Rail Awards are now officially open!

The NRAs are the rail industry’s flagship celebration - recognising the projects, people, and innovations that keep our railway moving forward. This year’s ceremony will take place on 17 September 2026, bringing the industry together for an evening of achievement, inspiration, and pride.

New for 2026: Railway 200 Event of the Year

To mark last year’s milestone anniversary - 200 years of the railway - we’re introducing a one‑off special category: Railway 200 Event of the Year.

This award will celebrate three standout events delivered in 2025 that supported, promoted, and commemorated two centuries of rail. It’s a unique opportunity to recognise the creativity, collaboration, and passion that made Railway 200 such a landmark moment for our industry.

Get your entries in!

Entries are open now and will close on 27 March 2026. We encourage organisations of all sizes and sectors across the railway to submit their achievements and help us shine a spotlight on the very best in rail.

I note that the cost of the "Premium table package" is £4,775 + VAT (Value Added Tax).

A great use of taxpayers/customers money I'm sure.

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. Views expressed in posts are not necessarily the views of the operators of the forum.

As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
