From London Now

Quote
Passengers travelling between Covent Garden and Leicester Square—two consecutive stations on the Piccadilly line in central London—are charged a full Zone 1 fare of £3.10 during peak hours, despite the journey covering just 260 to 270 metres.

The short trip has long been described as one of the most expensive Tube journeys per metre, with the £3.10 fare translating to a staggering per-mile cost.

According to 2015 data reported by The Daily Telegraph, around 490 people make the trip each day, with most of them believed to be tourists.

How many metres do people walk from within the two stations on this journey?

What other really close stations are there?  Culrain to Invershin?

I guess that the London Underground tube map can give a misleading idea of distances between some stations.

(I do recognise the difficulties of cramming in so much detail, especially as the system expands.)

An interesting map including some things it does not show - such as the walk from Lancaster Gate to Paddington which is well with their 10 minute window.
