The buses are going to be hourly, but the trains are half hourly. Do they even meet the alternate trains, or is this another could do better of inter-modal travel.

Typically there will be 10-12 minute connections into and out of the buses to and from trains in both directions, so just about perfect.

Suspect this is a first.  Four SWR» (South Western Railway - about) services will call at Reading Green Park this morning, along with other stations between Reading and Basingstoke to cover for cancelled GWR (Great Western Railway) services.

0944 Salisbury to Reading
1012 Reading to Salisbury
1044 Salisbury to Reading
1112 Reading to Salisbury

Bit confused
SWR» (South Western Railway - about) services from the Salisbury towards Basingstoke don't normally go via Reading,is it due to engineering work between Baingstoke and London?

Waterloo to Salisbury stoppers start and terminate at Reading for most of the day on Sundays before resuming to/from Waterloo late afternoon into the evening.
