Todays Bus Excursion

With the failure of 0906 Pad Ply due to Hox Axle Box:

1A85 1255 Plymouth Paddington was formed:
Plymouth - Exeter 153373. (Totnes and Newton Abbot calls canned presumably due to it being packed)
Exeter - Taunton 153737+142068
Taunton - London Paddington normal HST^▸ set

All in a days work!

Not an ideal situation admittedly but credit to FGW^▸ staff on the ground and control for using initiative and keeping the job running rather than taking the easy way out and cancelling the whole service!

I didn't think roller bearings ran hot!

I hope it's not a fault/failure because that could trigger a spate of failures as more of the same age bearings run similar milages.

Should read hot axle box detected.

The coach was removed as it was a genuine alert.
