I have slightly lost track of what's going on but I think they'll end up closed regardless, albeit in the medium term rather than the short term. There's a massive new housing development proposed for Begbroke and the developers (Oxford University) have said they'll fund a pedestrian/cycle bridge at Yarnton Lane even though NR» (Network Rail - home page) have pulled out. Green Lane is not much more than a foot/accommodation crossing anyway. It probably pushes it back into the next decade though.
