A post which I have read on another forum indicates that todays XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) services to and from Newquay may be the last XC services to serve the resort. The XC franchise which Arriva take over in November is suspected not to have these services included in the specification.

Have any members any information on this.

This would be very interesting indeed if true , as the DfT» (Department for Transport - about) stated the following in the link below :

"A summer Saturdays/Sundays service to Newquay, as currently operated, will be specified."

Newquay is also on Arriva XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise))'s network map:
