... just come to my attention.

The Pewsey Vale Railway Society is a diverse group (in terms of age and gender) of exceedingly well mannered and friendly railway enthusiasts who share a lively sense of humour and fun and reside mainly in and around the delightful Vale of Pewsey in the beautiful county of Wiltshire in the South West of England.

Within our common continuing interest in all things related to railways, our members have experiences and knowledge stretching back many years.  Some also have a long standing professional association with the railway network.  We are pleased, for example, to include the Station Master at nearby Pewsey Station amongst our ranks.

The Society meets on a monthly basis for talks, and also organises at least one railway-oriented trip during  the year.

The Society meets at the Woodborough Social Club, Smithy Lane, Woodborough, near Pewsey SN9 5PL on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:45pm. "New members are always welcome, so please feel free to come along and join us."

I understand that some 40 to 60 members make each meeting, from a wide area, and that TranWilts leaflets created a flurry of interest at a recent meeting.   Grin

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. Views expressed in posts are not necessarily the views of the operators of the forum.

As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
