OK - this poll has closed, biggest thing it showed was an apathy in people voting even though they read, and some commented. 

Would one of the folks who has most of them jump in and 'complete' the answers ... see whether you've come up with the same connections I  based the question on or (  ) something better!

1. Closed Stations

2. All towns have a London Road Station

3. Piers

4. Tram train projects (though obviously Portishead is still only an idea)

5.  ?

6. Washington Metro Stations

7. Ferry Stations

8. Mersey Tunnels

9. Transporter Bridges

As someone who looked, though about commenting but then did not post my score knowing I was out of the running, I'll kick off with what the ones I think I got were-

1 - Stations closed in the same year (1994?)
2 - Stations on the original Cross Country (pre-Arriva) network
3 - Closed stations not an current active routes/services
7 - "Ferries" as already posted
9 - Transporter bridges, again as already posted

2. London Road it is (Nottingham is closed, other ones open)
3. Yes - Narrow Gauge Railways and indeed there's something more specific
4. It is indeed Tram trains running or being looked at
5. Ah - has anyone got this?
6. Yes, Stations on the Washington DC^▸ (Direct Current) Metro.  I wondered whether to include "Foggy Bottom" which amuses me

8. The Mersey Tunnels - Kingsway and Queensway are road and the railway tunnel (surprise ...)
