This train was delayed tonight (delayed on it's inward journey I think although we weren't told).

There were a couple of announcements at Paddington about what we should do if we were waiting for this train, but I couldn't decipher them so got the 19.15 instead which is also first stop Maidenhead...

We arrived at Platform 1 at Maidenhead which isn't the norm.. That was fine. I think this was because by this point the 19.06 had caught up with us and was going into platform 3.. However, a lot of people who wanted to go to Oxford (where the 19.15 goes to) had to make a mad dash from platform 3 to 1... As I was passing the bottom of the stairs to platform 3 I heard someone say "It's going from platform 1 but I think you'll miss it now"... Oh dear.. Not good.. I wonder what happened there then.. Lack of announcements maybe..?

However looking at the National rail website, anyone who missed the Oxford train due to the platform change could have caught the next train to Reading and changed there, and got there quite quickly,  so not the end of the world... phew...
