POLICE APPEAL FOR TWO WOMEN TO COME FORWARD FOLLOWING DEATH OF MAN AT WINDSOR AND ETON RIVERSIDE STATION
British Transport Police (BTP) investigators would like to speak to two women after a man died at Windsor and Eton Riverside station earlier this month. The woman are not under any suspicion, but may be able to help police enquiries into the incident.
Adam James Hughes, 25, of Wraysbury in Staines died after the incident on Thursday, 1 September.
BTP and Thames Valley Police attended the incident, which was reported at 10am. It is being treated as non-suspicious and appears to have been a tragic accident. Paramedics attended but Mr Hughes was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Sergeant Ash Cooper, the investigating officer said: "It is three weeks since Adam^s death and although we are not holding a criminal inquiry, we are conducting a thorough investigation as part of the file we must prepare for the Coroner.
"We are eager to talk to the two women pictured as we know they were with Adam at the station shortly before he died and may be able to help us. I would like to reassure the women that they are not in any trouble and that we need to speak to them because they could assist our enquiries."
DS Cooper continued: "The inquest into Mr Hughes' death is due to take place later this year. Anyone who was in the area at the time, or who has any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, should contact us so we can build a clearer picture of what happened."
