Since parking has been banned in Institute Road on road parking has now spread right up Station Road and round into Boundary Road. Both paying carparks seem to be full as well, although how nuch in the South Carpark is passengers and not Electrification staff I don't know.

Be interesting when Crossrail comes with growth of  ?% plus possible commuters from Bourne End who wll no longer have through trains to Paddington and won't be able to park in, or even get to, Maidenhead.

Maybe Crossril should do a Chiltern for the south Carpark and make it two stories but that wouldn't give that many extra palces.

May one live in intersting times.

As a related point I have noticed that parking at Maidenhead has been particularly busy since Christmas. Today the final parking spaces in shoppenhangers were filled at 7.15am. When I first lived there the car park was only half full by that time.

Don't underestimate the effect of The Bishop Centre, especially as Tesco staff are not allowed to use the car park so have to find somewhere else to leave their cars.
