I took this at Stevenage the other week whilst on an East Coast bash! It appears that First Capital Connect along with FGW (First Great Western) do NOT proof read their posters!

When considering the seriousness this display poster is trying to put across, IMHO ('in my humble opinion') it looses all credibility and respect because of the typo in the last bottom caption........... Lips sealed Roll Eyes

Must be a FirstGroup thing...! Maybe we should send all the pictures we have to Tim o' Toole?! Grin Shocked Roll Eyes

** Edited to add ** I took the liberty of Twittering this to @FirstCC who as you can imagine, were far from impressed......... Roll Eyes *Runs Away*

I had to read the poster a few times before spotting the typo. Did however spot a typo straightaway in thetrout's post.  Tongue Wink Grin

Ah, but thetrout's text has not been processed through all of the (no doubt expensive) editorial and compliance checks which (one would hope) that First Capital Connect poster would have had to pass before publication ...  Roll Eyes

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Of course, it would be more correct to say "Some numbers about which to think" but that would also sound awful...  Tongue

Less a comment on thetrout's typo, more a comment on the way the brain can often skip over typos. Well my brain at least. Lose/loose always stands out for me, but an is/it typo I missed. Twice.
