With Grahame's permission I have been allowed to post this.

Slough and Windsor Railway Society are holding an Open Day at the Manor West Carpark Slough Station Saturday September 1st 11:00 - 16:00. Entrance FREE.

If you've ever wondered what's in the grey wooden building opposite the Windsor Bay at Slough Station, which you flash by at 125,  now is your chance come along and see what we have in the way of railwayana etc, There will be refreshements an under construction model rialway and lots of railway and other transport books and videos and DVDs going cheap.

If you have ever beenon the 19:21 from Padd on a Friday night you may have seen a disreputable bunch hanging around the door watching the trains go by. That's SWRS» (Slough and Windsor Railway Society - about).

If you do turn up and are regular poster ask for John F alias eightf48544.

Thanks for sharing that eightf, I've added the date to the forum's calendar.

Most annoyingly for me I have a diary clash - off to Wildlife Rocks at Guildford Cathedral that day to see Brian May perform - otherwise I'd've been there.

Hope you have a good day!  Wink

Mmm...I must admit that were I free on that date I would struggle to decide which one I would go to! I suspect it maybe Brian May on the basis that there will probably be other railway meets at other times...
