New alighting procedure at Saltash

Currently on a morning HST^▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) bound for London stopping at Saltash but is only allowing passengers to alight through coach H only. The train manager said this was a new procedure so I wondered if anyone here knew why this has been put in place. Granted that it may be to free up the bridge but why just coach H?

Seems odd but was leading Power Car held by a Red Signal on Saltash Platform 2?
(Guess it's platform 2 as in most cases in Cornwall platform 1 is the down platform.)

This policy is a recent change yes - I expect as smokey says is to do with the risk of the signal on the platform being at danger.

If memory serves me correct, bikes will therefore no longer be conveyed to Saltash on up-HSS^▸ (High Speed Services) services (given the front Power Car is off most platforms in Cornwall, so cannot be stored there).

Could be despatch related as well. The up platform at Saltash is on quite a curve. Having just one carriage open significantly reduces the risk of a door on the catch.

Saltash WAS front four coachs, this could only be done if the signal was clear, if it was at danger the procedure WAS for the train to stop short of the platform and only move into the station once signal clear with the front four on. However this has been deemed to be causing more delay than neccesary, so the procedure is now leading carriage only so the train can enter platform if the signal is at danger or clear. The TM^▸ (Train Manager, or Ticket Machine, or Temple Meads (Bristol), depending on context) can't change it from one coach to four on arrival if the signal is clear, so the standard has been set for front coach only. Pain for bikes/wheelchairs.
