Headline from the Croydon Advertiser:

Quote
London mayoral candidate Sadiq Khan lobbying for TfL» (Transport for London - about) monotony on commuter trains

By Croydon Advertiser  |  Posted: March 27, 2016
By Polly Albany-Ward polly.albany-ward@croydonadvertiser.co.uk

Was there a completely irrelevant picture? Well, there was one of Sadiq Khan, and it's hard to see how it could really match that headline.

Quite agree. Shouldn't that be "Monogamy"?

Possibly, but I don't think he's wedded to the idea.

The wonderful Exeter Express & Error strikes again!

http://www.exeterexpressandecho.co.uk/Packed-train-evacuated-thousands-Bank-Holiday/story-29007433-detail/story.html

I doubt very much if the service to Penzance in question was provided using a Class 180. And this high quality piece of journalism somehow completely fails to mention that the incident described occurred at Plymouth.

'Passengers said they were left like sardines on the service...' - to compound the alleged misery GWR (Great Western Railway) are now coating their passengers in tomato sauce?  Grin

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

They kept that 4 track section of track in Cornwall quiet. Judging by the train's livery it must have been done not long after privatisation!
