I wont be too surprised if there has been someone living near Melksham who has been moaning about the extra services being too noisy.
You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. The A350 runs north from Melksham through Beanacre, and the railway runs north behind the village. I've heard some mutterings - I think in jest - from one source there - who is probably so used to campaigning against noise and traffic at the front that (s)he automatically grumbles about noise and traffic at the back, not releasing that one train probably removes a dozen cars. Oh - did I mention that Beanacre is an accident black spot. Of course, such people aren't members here
