Was reminded of the quarrelling  announcers in 'Airplane' at Bath Spa this morning.
All trains were leaving Plat 2 at about 10am as there appeared to be a broken down HST (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) on Plat 1. Three times the automated system announced the 1000 Bristol Temple as the next train only to be countermanded by a human saying the next train would be the 1007 to Weymouth. As you can imagine Plat 2 was pretty rammed. The poor old digital display kept switchng from one to the other, getting in a right tizzy. Who won ? the computer of course.
Think the poor old human operative went to hide in a cupboard !

Was a busy morning at Bath.  First an early HST (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) service from Weston super Mare broke down and had to be terminated.  Then the 08:00 from Paddington gave up the ghost on the opposite platform and took nearly an hour to shift.  Luckily there was a gap between the two incidents so trains could still pass.
