It is Scarborough, yes. Different sources say it's the longest in the "country", "Europe" or "World" ... judging by its location on what I suspect is purely an excursion platform, I suspect that the proportion of time that anyone is sat on it is pretty low these days ... |

Sorry - no. I suspect (judging by the guess I've seen such as this) that there might be a whole genre of stations like this, so it may be that rather a lot of places end up being suggested before the right one! |

Yes ...  ... A sorta wannabe King's Cross for platform 9.75 ... Unlike Platform 9^ at KGX, all that's on the other side of that wall at Taunton is the roof of the booking office.  It would appear that, judging by the increase in trolleys, when I was last in Taunton, many more people have tried to find a secret portal to a magical place.  |
