George Osbourne - Plymouth Speech

One and All

George Osbourne has made a speech in Plymouth today, as reported in this link, http://www.westernmorningnews.co.uk/Osborne-says-8220-future-bright-West/story-25923990-detail/story.html, with significant references to the future of rail within, and to and from the region.

Highlights include thoughts of a new Devon and Cornwall franchise, and reference to a new cross Dartmoor line.

Anyone would have thought there is an election looming.....

Perhaps if you added other DMU^▸ services in the South West (to the south of the London - Bristol line, and to the west of Berkshire) you could call it "Wessex Trains"?

After all about half the seats in the South West are marginals!
