runs with only 1.5 first carriages anyway (not something any first passengers are happy with) and today, the full carriage is out of order.

that means 18 first class seats on a hst - we'll be sardines by paddington (yes I know standard are normaly sardines but we pay more to avoid that)

beginning to wonder if there is any point

If you had to stand in FC (First Class, or Fat Controller, or Football Club, depending on context) for long enough, I belive you can get some cash out of FGW (First Great Western), well, you can SWT (South West Trains) anyway.

u miss my point (although the extra seats are nice when available)

there were first passengers with a choice of sit in standard or stand all the way from morton in marsh.

tm was telling passengers on platform that first was full from kingham onwards

there was almost a riot at didcot and oxford

Right, ok. So instead of moaning, why didn't you refer to the passenger charter, maybe you should of recomended these FC (First Class, or Fat Controller, or Football Club, depending on context) bods who were standing to do this.

"If you hold a First Class ticket for a high speed service and have to stand for more than 20 minutes (or more than one stop where this is longer than 20 minutes), we will refund you in National Rail vouchers the difference between the cost of your First Class ticket for the affected leg of your journey and the corresponding Standard Class ticket. To claim your refund, you must contact a member of the on-board staff at the time of travel for verification, then make your claim by contacting our Customer Services Team.

Because sadly it didnt affect me - I got a seat, seeing as how I get on at worcester - I just had to put up with the grief that ensued as a result (and didnt get my two hours kip!)

Hands up anyone who knew about this little gem. I don't suppose the crew made an offer to passengers of 'verification' did they? If it were me, I think I'd just slap in a claim anyway, verified or not, especially if there's double compensation for this too...

Well, I would just slap in a claim as well, but I just quoted the Passenger Charter.
