Just occasionally "most recent posts" turns up some interesting threads if you (mis)read them as following on from each other.

is it me or is this branch line getting really over grown the amount of trees and bushes that crash along the train certainly wouldn't stick your head out the window on a hst ouch. ....

The same has happened at Waterloo. ....

Is it just me that notices such things?  // Reminds me of a two Ronnies sketch!

Interestingly, we're nearly at the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo, where Napoleon received a rather good birching, so to speak.  Tongue Roll Eyes Grin

It didn't help my understanding that as soon as I read the title of this topic I thought it had something to do with Reading station being out of order!  Roll Eyes

Following the confused theme, is this something to do with a pause while changing trains in Berkshire?

Which reminds me of the story that an American lift (elevator) company was thinking of placing its UK (United Kingdom) offices in Berkshire so the telephone operators could answer incoming calls with "Otis Reading"...

I'll get my coat...

I do have a picture of a Schnidler's Lift, but not accessible from my phone. The one above came from a Google image search.
