Ah yes ... I was sanity checking a higher fare for Trowbridge - Weymouth than for Swindon - Trowbridge - Weymouth.

Since it is not an advance fare, if I turn up at Trowbridge I could ask for a Swindon to Weymouth ticket and use it from Trowbridge.  In that case surely the TOC▸ (Train Operating Company) should sell me the cheapest ticket which would be the Swindon one?
