Ruth could teach the NRM» (National Railway Museum, at York and Shildon - about) a thing or two... perhaps if Gresley had designed the A3 with chocolate frames they'd have had less trouble with it in recent years.  Wink

As much as making a scuplture that is too big to eat out of an edible material which melts at just over room temperature sounds like a silly idea to me, at least it might be possible to snap off and eat those horrible sideplates*.

* Sideplates is the term I coined because I didn't know what they were for, I think they are what I've since seen refered to as smoke deflectors. Whatever, they are a design feature I associate with SR▸ (Southern Railway / Southern Region / Scot Rail / Scottish Region (rather confusing - it depends on the context))/LMS▸ (London Midland Scottish - 1923 to 1948) locomotives and look terribly out of place to me on 4472.

Don't DOO▸ (Driver-Only Operation (that is, trains which operate without carrying a guard)) it, keep the guard (but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea if the driver unlocked the doors on arrival at calling points).
