Is it just my poor choice of seat, but working power sockets on the HST (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) and class 180 seem to be like hens teeth. I have found working sockets with a rate of about 1 in 5 attempts. Both the poorly sited ones in the airline seats on the HST and also the wall mounted ones on the Adelante.

Can't speak for the 180s, but I have noticed more problems with HST (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) sockets in recent times in standard class.  That is separate to the issues they had with the new sockets in first class with led lights overheating.

One tip - it is always worth trying the opposite side of the coach if possible - each side is fed separately, so if one is down there is a chance the other side might work.
