It was uninsured. Untaxed and no insurance, A change of ownership also recorded approx. 1 month ago, although it received 12 months MOT about 10 days ago. |

Still got the meter running, see. On my photography jaunts, I'm never that lucky looking for a safe parking place lineside.

Or it might account for the vehicle's "interesting" handling if the wheel came off before the incident. |

Wondering if the delays (and cost of recovery etc) will be billed to the car's owner.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to line near Hodges Road after the blue Nissan van was found on its side next to the tracks at around 5.55am on Sunday morning. A spokesman from Devon and Cornwall Police said the van was unoccupied when officers arrived. The force spokesman said: "The driver was located at his home address 21-year-old Connor Tangye has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without the correct insurance." Tangye, of Hugus, near Truro, is due to appear at Truro Magistrates' Court on Monday, December 21. Initially the line, which is the main route for trains to London, was closed as a precautionary measure. Following investigations by rail staff, a test train was sent down the track and passed the vehicle with approximately five inches to spare. The line was re-opened at around noon with trains running a low speed on the track for the remainder of the day. The vehicle was recovered on Sunday night. The police spokesman said no one is believed to have been injured.
